SHEFFIELD MAY 18TH 7.30pm
For the past eighteenth months, Theatre Delicatessen has been occupying the dusty remains of an old Woolworth building in Sheffield, transforming it into an artistic hub with performance spaces, rehearsal rooms, studios and workshops.
A community of artists has popped up around this space, forging new work within its four walls; given room to experimenting with a variety of theatrical forms, from large-scale immersive installations, to community-led storytelling, through to virtual reality and one-on-one performance. Their work grows out of, and draws on the people, places and history around this building.
For just one night we showcase five theatre makers from Sheffield, presenting extracts from an eclectic and progressive range of work. The evening is a culmination of an eight-week development programme by Sheffield Theatres, The Creative Guild, and Theatre Delicatessen North.

A Nation’s Theatre Festival is a two-month celebration of theatre from around the UK from April – May 2016.
Venues across London are joining forces to shine a light on shows made by artists based in villages, towns and cities with wildly different backdrops and personalities that colour the work they make.
