Meet Hatty Hurricane Heronica Hare the First and Topple The Tortoise as they embark on a woodland adventure; to see who really is the fastest animal in the forest… Set in a busy post office, Curly Tales are bringing Aesop’s traditional tale to life with new songs, live music and bundles of audience interaction. The show has been specifically designed for ages 3-6. After the show there will be a chance for children to meet the characters and an opportunity to take photos.
Curly Tales are a children’s theatre company based in the North of England. Their aim is to deliver inspiring and magical theatrical experiences to children aged between 3-7.
Their shows feature live music and original song along with bundles of audience interaction. Artistic directors Emily Goldie and Jennifer Carss are both Northern actors. Having trained in Manchester together, they decided upon graduation to begin devising new work for children. Their inspiration can come from a traditional tale or a piece of new writing. One running theme through each show is putting a positive female role models at the forefront of the tale.
The work of Curly Tales has been well reviewed by both audience and industry, with particular praise coming from the young children making up the majority of the audience.
